Senior Credit Controller Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Controller to join our team at Switch Recruit (Pty) Ltd. As a Senior Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's credit and collections activities, ensuring timely payment from customers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to financial policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Assist with annual external financial audit to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with vendors and team members to resolve queries and ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with SARS license and subscriptions, as well as vendor due-diligence process.
  • Match supplier invoices to relevant official orders and PODs.
  • Prepare month-end and year-end reports on outstanding creditors and GRVs.
  • Manage month-end and financial year-end responsibilities, including reconciliations and accruals.
  • Adhere to internal banking verification processes and capture invoices and credit notes.
  • Complete and file supplier credit applications and reconcile supplier statements and clearing of old recon items.
  • Reconcile creditors control accounts and aged analysis, as well as reconcile jobs from the operations system to actual.
  • Resolve queries with supplier and customer accounts and post accruals once reconciliation of the cost is complete.
  • Closing of files on CargoWise and ensuring that the reconciliation is complete and accurate.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years experience in Account Payable within clearing and forwarding, with CargoWise experience highly advantageous.
  • A B-degree in finance highly advantageous.
