Estimator and Cost Planner

We are looking for a highly skilled Estimator and Cost Planner to join our team at Pronel Personnel. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of times, rates, and costing of the estimating programme. Your expertise in planning layouts to minimize costs and gathering quotations for outwork and handwork will be essential.

Duties include:

  1. Managing the estimating programme to ensure accuracy and up-to-date rates and paper prices.
  2. Planning layouts to minimize overall costs on receipt of quote requests.
  3. Gathering quotations for any outwork and/or handwork required.
  4. Liaising with factory managers on new and specific print requirements.
  5. Preparing costings and quotes for customers using the estimating programme.
  6. Ensuring rates and paper prices are up to date and labour times are calculated accurately.
  7. Receiving and processing orders.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Accurate calculation of work ticket values against customer order values.
  2. Copying job information from the master list to the monthly sales schedule.
  3. Entering material, outwork, and commission costs onto the sales schedule.

Key Monthly Tasks:

  1. Management of all paper purchasing and outwork.
  2. Monitoring stock levels of floor stock.
  3. Preparation of a stock valuation spreadsheet using physical counts and invoice costs.
  4. Balancing sales paper purchases, outwork, and commissions recorded on monthly sales spreadsheets to the corresponding general ledger accounts.
