Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Group Accountant to join our team at DO MORE Placements. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the financial health and integrity of the group by managing, processing, and overseeing all accounting activities for the group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process all accounting activities for the group, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and implement financial models to support business strategy and decision-making.
  • Manage and monitor the group's budgets, ensuring adherence to budgetary controls and providing explanations for any variances.
  • Communicate financial information effectively to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and auditors.
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Proven experience as a senior accountant or similar role, supporting a CFO.
  • Accounting qualification required (SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA, AGA, etc.).
  • Experience in dealing with African countries is preferred but not required.
  • Xero accounting software experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in compiling financial statements in CaseWare is required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred (pivot tables, macros, etc.) but not required.

  • Highly competitive salary package: Basic up to R 60k pm PLUS eligibility for quarterly discretionary bonus of around R 14k pm paid out per quarter (R42k pq) so approx CTC of R 74k pm for top performers.
