  • About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Accountant to join our team at Sagen Advisory. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the finance function of the group, managing multiple entities, and ensuring the accurate preparation of financial statements.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance reports for the Managing Director.
    • Assist with budget preparation and final control of the general ledger, accruals, provisions, depreciation, and journals.
    • Manage cash flow and review bank and suspense reconciliations.
    • Prepare information for annual audits, including accounting packs and annual financial statements.
    • Manage Syspro modules, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, work-in-progress, and general ledger to trial balance.
    • Set up and create users, product classes, warehouses, client groupings, costings, and administer vendor contracts, lease agreements, and equipment rentals.
    • Supervise and control accounting staff, including on-the-job training, and manage monthly salaries and weekly wage reconciliations.
  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a similar field.
    • Professional qualifications such as AGA(SA), PA(SA), CA(SA), CIMA, or SAIPA.
    • Completed articles with SAICA, CIMA, or SAIPA.
    • Minimum 5 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in a similar role.
    • Syspro or related ERP accounting software experience, as well as Microsoft Excel skills at an intermediate to advanced level.
    • Multi-company exposure in a group structure is highly desirable.
  • What We Offer:
    • A competitive salary range of R480,000 to R660,000 per annum, depending on experience.
