Job Title: Debt Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our credit control team, you will be responsible for recovering outstanding debts and enhancing customer cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Debt Recovery: Employ various approaches to recover outstanding debts while maintaining effective communication with customers.
  • Collection Management: Manage and maintain collection matters for retainer and ad-hoc clients, ensuring timely updates and documentation.
  • Client Collection Reporting: Manage and report on new and existing legal files, liaising with attorneys, credit insurers, and other stakeholders.
  • Insurance Policies Impact Monitoring: Understand insurance timelines and deadlines for debt collection, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks.
  • Outsourced Debtor Function: Capture receipts, process allocations, and follow up on payments, providing weekly feedback reports.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: An NQF qualification, diploma, or degree is advantageous.
  • Experience: One to three years of experience in debt collection or credit control, with experience in a legal environment being advantageous.
  • Competencies: Basic problem-solving skills, ability to handle pressure and conflict, resilience, strong communication skills, and computer proficiency.
