Business Financial Partner for FMCG Sector

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Financial Partner to join our team in Midrand, South Africa.

This is a finance business partner role that will provide financial insights to drive improved decision-making and deliver business results through driving growth and profitability.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare analysis and insights on the key drivers of financial performance for the South African Flavour business unit.
  • S Support the Senior Commercial Finance Manager in preparing and managing customer and product profitability analysis and reporting.
  • Interpret and analyse customer specific requests from the sales team and partner to develop financial P&Ls and analytics.
  • Business partner to the Sales teams, providing insightful analysis to support decision making.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Support Financial reporting and analysis for all customers.
  • Daily and weekly sales reporting.
  • S Support month-end processes, quarterly financial forecast, and budget.
  • Financial data maintenance – support new product code creation, maintain product mapping, create system inputs of key financials during forecast and budget cycles.
  • Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis.

Business Planning and Analysis

  • Assist with the coordination and preparation of the long-term plan and annual budget process for the business.

Process Improvement and Special Projects

  • Work to improve core commercial finance processes and reporting.
  • Ensure all processes are documented and Sarbanes Oxley compliant.
  • Prepare ad hoc commercial project viability studies.

The successful candidate will have a BCom in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification, 4-5 years' experience in finance roles with FMCG preferable. Strong advanced Excel skills and experience of TM1, SAP, and PowerBi are required. The salary range for this position is R750,000 - R900,000 per annum, depending on experience.
