The role of a Financial Controller in our FMCG cluster involves leading the accounting activities, ensuring adherence to financial policies and statutory requirements. Key responsibilities include managing the monthly close process, coordinating with the Shared Service Center (SSC) on Treasury, A/P, and General Ledger transactions, and implementing global insurance and tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly close process to ensure accuracy of P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Serve as the key point of contact within the cluster for coordination with the SSC on Treasury, A/P, and General Ledger topics.
  • Prepare and submit statutory requirements, and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Implement global insurance and tax strategies.
  • Provide finance support for administrative functions in the cluster.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • CA (SA) with at least 2 years post-articles experience or BCom Accounting + Hons.
  • Min 3 years accounting experience in an FMCG environment (preferably with a Multi-national company).
  • Strong accounting and financial skills, including the ability to implement and enforce internal controls.

Salary Estimate: R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The salary range is based on industry standards and takes into account the location, job requirements, and market conditions.
