Job Description

The Recruitment Council is seeking an experienced Insurance Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, handling both commercial and personal underwriting, and ensuring seamless policy management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Meetings: Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients to discuss their insurance needs and provide guidance on policy management.
  • Feedback and Support: Provide regular feedback and address client queries to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Policy Renewals: Underwrite and manage policy renewals to ensure seamless policy management.
  • New Policy Applications: Handle new policy applications and quotations to ensure timely processing.
  • Scheduling: Schedule on-site client meetings to ensure effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records in the MyPractice system to ensure compliance and data integrity.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage administrative documentation to ensure FAIS compliance and maintain accurate records.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Service Level Agreements: Adhere to service level agreement deadlines to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Liaison Work: Act as a liaison between the office and insurance companies to ensure effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Reports and Retention: Generate reports and manage client retention to ensure long-term relationships and business growth.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Grade 12 qualification.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Insurance Qualification: NQF Level 4 Full Short-Term Insurance Qualification.
  • Regulatory Examination: Successful completion of the Regulatory Examination (RE5) for Representatives.
  • DOFA Confirmation: DOFA confirmation from FSCA.
  • Product Training: Fit and proper product-specific training.
  • Experience: 6-7 years of relevant experience in short-term insurance.
  • Commercial Underwriting: At least 4 years of commercial underwriting experience.
  • Personal Underwriting: At least 4 years of personal underwriting experience.
  • Administrative Skills: Strong administrative, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Transport and License: Own transport and a valid driver's license.
