Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for designated categories. Conduct thorough research, assessment, and negotiation of terms for local spending areas to secure optimal conditions.
  • Lead and nurture relationships with key local suppliers to guarantee that service standards are met and maintained over time.
  • Support the IMS Procurement Manager in formulating and refining local policies, strategies, and methodologies aimed at enhancing technical, quality, service, or reliability standards.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for supply base synergy and product portfolio alignment based on specifications.
  • Generate and present critical reports to aid in the supplier selection process. Utilize appropriate procurement tools to prepare and manage RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
  • Examine and assess local price trends, new product offerings, and innovative solutions to uncover opportunities for budget optimization or revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with departments to create procurement plans that reflect business requirements in current and future activities.
  • Conduct spend analysis to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure timely execution of all SOX-related controls.
  • Compile, analyze, and consolidate supplier performance reports based on key performance indicators.
  • Assist in setting cost-saving objectives and quality benchmarks.
  • Utilize procurement tools to generate regular reports; familiarity with SAP is preferred.
  • Support departmental budget optimization by gathering and consolidating spending data and product specifications to identify key cost drivers.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act.
  • Expertise in Industry & Market Analysis related to Procurement.
  • A postgraduate diploma in procurement is advantageous.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Customer-centric approach, integrity, and trustworthiness.
  • Proficient negotiation skills.
  • Relevant degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in Supplier Screening and Analysis.
  • Knowledge of Spend & Demand Analysis, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is essential.
  • Understanding of Make or Buy/Lease or Buy/Rent or Buy/Outsourcing decisions.
  • Experience in Contract Planning & Execution.
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) expertise.
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong ability to build peer relationships.
  • Experience in Supplier Performance Assessment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement role within the FMCG sector is crucial.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
  • Action-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Capacity for priority setting.
