Job Title: Global Technical Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Technical Manager to join our team at Prostaff Holdings.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all technical strategies, training, data collection, presentations, and protocols for our products on a global basis. This will involve working closely with senior management, agronomists, distributors, and customers to drive innovation and market adoption within our global subsidiaries in South and North America and SA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategically lead and manage all technical strategies, training, data collection, presentations, and protocols for our products on a global basis.
  • Oversee the development and lifecycle management of biological crop protection and growth stimulant products.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to innovate and enhance product formulations based on market needs and scientific advancements.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyse regulatory requirements in different regions to ensure product compliance and facilitate market entry.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, regulatory, and supply chain teams to develop and execute product strategies.
  • Provide technical support and training to sales teams, distributors, and customers both locally and globally.
  • Strategically plan, develop, and implement global product strategies that align with business goals and customer needs.
  • Create and manage product roadmaps, ensuring timely launches and market success.
  • Gather customer feedback to inform product improvements and development.
  • Track and analyse product performance metrics, sales data, and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on product performance and market trends.
  • Provide technical training and distributor support.
  • Plan and present technical training sessions to agents and growers.
  • Manage forecasts and planning models to ensure continuous product supply.
  • Develop strategic marketing strategies for the region.
  • Develop and implement in-field product demonstrations.
  • Investigate, capture, and communicate aspects of key crop production.
  • Identify key crop, product, and market opportunities and threats from competitors.
  • Keep abreast of market, trade, and competitor activities to revise strategies to meet changing requirements.
Requirements
  • A BSc or BAgric degree or diploma or related qualification is preferred but not essential, as long as the person has extensive experience working within the crop protection and growth stimulants, bio fertilizers inoculants, and adjuvants or related agriculture products.
  • Previous experience managing distributors or agents and working with customers and sales teams is essential.
  • Previous experience having worked as a Technical Manager or related role within the crop protection, bio fertiliser, and growth stimulants or related agricultural markets is essential for the role.
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects and global teams.
  • Strong understanding of biological crop protection and growth stimulant technologies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with global agricultural practices and regulatory frameworks is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in creating impactful presentations and reports.
