Job Title: Commercial Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Underwriter to join our team at HR Genie. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for maintaining commercial underwriting standards and providing quality client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Issuance: Issue new policies, renewals, and endorsements on the CIMS3 System.
  • Quote Preparation: Prepare new business quotes in accordance with company standards.
  • Underwriting: Underwrite policies in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Business Development: Support the sales team in acquiring and retaining profitable business.
  • Administration: Attend to administration and written communication, ensuring all documentation is processed accurately and correctly.
Service Delivery:
  • Customer Satisfaction: Maintain service, quality, and desired outputs within a specific functional process through ensuring compliance to tactical policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Query Resolution: Resolve escalated customer queries and complaints, providing feedback to customers on matters resolved.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge on, and participate in the creation of new standards, control systems, and procedures to maintain service delivery.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend areas/ways to improve processes, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, practices, and procedures.
