International Trade Development Specialist

At HR Genie, we are seeking a skilled professional to drive business growth in Zambia and Namibia as our Cross Border Sales Specialist.
The role involves driving business expansion across borders, targeting opportunities in Zambia, Namibia, and other regions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with international clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities:- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new cross-border business opportunities to expand market reach.
- Cross-Border Travel: Regular travel will be required, potentially with a base in Boksburg.
- Budget-Driven Performance: Your performance will be based on measurable outcomes.
- Daily Targets: You will set daily targets to track and evaluate performance.
You will conduct research on international markets to understand customer needs and industry trends. Additionally, you will provide insights and recommendations to improve competitive positioning.
Your expertise will ensure that all cross-border sales activities comply with customs, trade regulations, and import/export laws. You will manage necessary documentation for international shipments, including invoices, shipping documents, and compliance certifications.
As the primary point of contact for international clients, you will address inquiries and resolve issues promptly. You will develop tailored solutions to meet customer needs and achieve satisfaction.
Close collaboration with internal teams, including logistics, marketing, and operations, is essential to ensure seamless execution of cross-border transactions.

- Independence and Prioritization: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities is essential.

- Cultural Awareness: Cultural awareness and adaptability for dealing with diverse international clients are necessary.
A bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, or a related field is required. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in international sales or cross-border trade, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in international markets, is also required.
Knowledge of customs procedures and trade compliance regulations, as well as strong understanding of international trade laws and regulations, is necessary. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is also required. Fluency in additional languages is preferred.
