Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in fields such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • A minimum of 10 years in IT Governance, Enterprise Architecture, or Software Development roles.
  • At least 5 years in an Enterprise or Solution Architect capacity.
  • Possession of TOGAF and Zachman certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the evaluation, development, and maintenance of the organization's IT architecture.
  • Assess the current architecture (As-Is) to identify redundancies, effective elements, and areas needing improvement, while measuring the health of key business processes supported by the existing architecture.
  • Propose and design the future state (To-Be) architecture, creating a roadmap for the organization to follow.
  • Develop a transition architecture that connects the current state to the future state, outlining an iterative roadmap to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Advise on incremental changes to the business rather than a comprehensive overhaul, ensuring manageable adjustments.
  • Outline a series of steps to gradually move towards the future state, prioritizing actions based on business needs.
  • Establish a test environment for new concepts that minimizes disruption and financial impact on the business.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to create Business Architecture Roadmaps that include tactical and strategic initiatives aimed at achieving target business capabilities, while identifying and resolving dependencies across the architectural landscape.
  • Design solutions that align with business requirements and adhere to Reference Architecture policies and standards.
  • Provide expertise in crafting solutions for unique business needs.
  • Guide and manage enhancements and modifications to ensure compliance with System and Business Development Methodology and Quality of Service Standards, delivering quality improvements that meet business objectives.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to conduct reviews of architecture roadmaps and designs.
  • Define and evolve Enterprise Architecture policies and standards, collaborating with the PMO to manage the project pipeline.
  • Involve relevant peers from various disciplines during the implementation of Solution Architecture/Design.
  • Promote and communicate the high-level Enterprise Architect strategy across the organization and to key stakeholders.
  • Establish a structured lifecycle for reviewing the future state of the enterprise architecture, ensuring traceability of work to facilitate:
  • Consistent IT decision-making across the organization.
  • Traceability to the overall organizational strategy.
  • Empowerment for making informed IT decisions.
  • Elimination of conflicts of interest in decision-making.
  • Auditability and accountability in decision-making processes.
  • Streamlined governance.
  • Propose innovative ideas for advancing the organization with more sophisticated concepts or architectures.
  • Ensure governance by establishing processes for software and operating model development.
  • Support change management initiatives to help the business:
  • Adapt to the enterprise structure.
  • Shift perceptions within the business.
  • Enable all resources to enhance their skills accordingly.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of enterprise architecture to ensure adherence to technology standards.
  • Design and present architectural concepts to various high-level committees.
  • Assist with user training for new implementations to ensure adequate support for the business.
  • Interface with internal and external clients to clarify the scope of work and resolve issues.
  • Draft Enterprise Architecture documents for specific projects/programs, clearly articulating goals, constraints, and the rationale behind architecturally significant decisions. Lead scoping and design sessions across cross-functional teams. Guide the determination of technical infrastructure design. Collaborate with various groups to analyze and fulfill functional requirements, objectives, desired features, and overall user experience. Participate in technical reviews of applications to evaluate the quality of their solutions.
  • Perform application portfolio rationalization. Analyze, define, and document system architecture and design concerning data, workflow, security, hardware integration, operating system environments, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs. Identify essential components and requirements to ensure that the architecture of the integrated environment achieves maximum availability, efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Assist Enterprise Architects in promoting and disseminating policies and standards across technology domains. Act as a champion to help all aspects of the development enterprise (hardware, software, integration) understand and adopt these standards and policies. Collaborate in Enterprise Architecture planning initiatives to achieve:
  • Current state architecture.
  • Client state architecture.
  • Roadmap.
  • Risks and constraints.
  • EA policy and standard definition.
