Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You will work closely with our engineering and product development teams to develop and implement data solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Ingestion and Processing: Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes. Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns. Present information using data visualization techniques.
  • Data Modelling and Design: Develop and maintain data models that meet the needs of our clients. Design and implement data warehouses and data marts.
  • Database Administration: Design, build, and maintain databases that meet the needs of our clients. Ensure database performance and security.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with engineering and product development teams to develop and implement data solutions. Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Education: Tertiary degree, diploma, or certificate in a related field (BSc Computer Science, B.IT, or Informatics related degrees).
  • Certifications: DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure Certification.
  • Experience: 8-10 years' working experience as a Data Engineer/Database Developer. Experience in data mining, large-scale data modelling, and business requirements gathering/analysis.
  • Skills: Proficiency in designing and implementing data integration and ETL solutions using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and/or SQL Server stored procedures. Experience implementing design support systems using Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as SQL Server or Oracle.
