Job Title: Metrology Manager
Job Description:

Staff Solutions Recruitment seeks a seasoned Metrology Manager to oversee the Metrology Laboratory and measurement areas of responsibility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the required resources and competencies are in place to deliver high-quality measurement results.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Budget: Oversee the laboratory budget and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure the necessary resources and competencies are in place for successful project delivery.
  • Measurement and Test Results: Review and communicate measurement and test results to stakeholders.
  • Engineering Change and Product Evolution: Manage engineering changes and product evolution to ensure seamless integration.
  • Critical Equipment Maintenance: Maintain critical equipment in the CMM room to ensure optimal performance.
  • Metrology Strategies: Develop and implement metrology strategies to support production and quality assurance.
  • Instrument Calibration: Manage the calibration and maintenance of measurement instruments and systems.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of metrology technicians, providing training and support.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all metrology activities.

Job Requirements:
  • Tertiary Engineering/Trade Qualification: Minimum tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
  • Quality Auditing Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in internal quality auditing within the automotive environment.
  • Quality Department Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality department in the automotive industry.
  • Process Engineering Discipline: Minimum 3 years of experience within a process engineering discipline.
  • CMM Programming: Fully trained and experienced in CMM programming.
  • Offline CMM Programming: Fully trained and experienced in offline CMM programming to alignment requirements.
  • Technical Drawings and GD&T: Fully understanding of technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Software Experience: Proficient in Piweb, GOM, and Zeiss software.
  • Financial/Budget Concepts: Basic understanding of financial and budget concepts.
