Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Metrology & Laboratory Manager to join our team at Sheldon Recruitment and Selection. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the budget of the laboratory and measurement areas, leading the technical and disciplinary aspects of the team, and ensuring the required resources and competencies are in place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the budget of the laboratory and measurement areas of responsibility
  • Responsible for the disciplinary and technical leadership of the team
  • Ensure the required resources and competencies are in place
  • Responsible for the review and communication of measurement and test results
  • Manage engineering change and product evolution
  • Manage and maintain critical equipment in the CMM room
Requirements
  • Tertiary Engineering/Trade Qualification
  • Minimum 3 years experience in internal quality auditing within the automotive environment
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a quality department in the automotive industry
  • Minimum 3 years within a process engineering discipline
  • Fully trained experienced CMM Programmer
  • Fully trained and experienced in Offline CMM Programming to alignment requirements
  • Fully understanding of Technical Drawings and GD&T
  • Piweb, GOM and Zeiss experience & Quality Systems
  • Manufacturing Processes (Welding, Measuring Equipment, Customer Processes)
  • Measuring Equipment / Financial/Budget Concepts / Project Management
