Job Title: Senior Metrology and Laboratory Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Metrology and Laboratory Manager to join our team at Prudent HR Solutions. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the operational management of our CMM Room Measurement inline Systems, Destructive & NonDestructive, and Laboratory areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budget Management: Manage the budget of the Laboratory and measurement areas of responsibility, ensuring effective resource allocation and optimization.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide disciplinary and technical leadership to the team, ensuring the required resources and competencies are in place to meet organizational objectives and customer requirements.
  • Measurement and Test Results: Review and communicate Measurement and Test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Engineering Change and Product Evolution: Manage engineering change and product evolution, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
  • Critical Equipment Maintenance: Manage and maintain critical equipment in the CMM room, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • CMM Programming Expertise: Fully trained and experienced CMM Programmer with expertise in Offline CMM Programming to alignment requirements.
  • Technical Drawing and GD&T Understanding: Fully understanding of Technical Drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Piweb GOM and Zeiss software, with high standards of computer literacy.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide the team towards achieving organizational objectives.
  • Problem-Solving and Quality Systems: Attention to detail, with a methodical approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of Quality Systems.
  • Manufacturing Processes and Measuring Equipment: Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes (Welding, Measuring Equipment, Customer Processes), with a strong understanding of Measuring Equipment and Financial/Budget Concepts.
  • Education and Experience: Tertiary Engineering/Trade Qualification, with a minimum of 3 years experience in internal quality auditing within the automotive environment, and a minimum of 3 years experience in a quality department in the automotive industry.
