Business Development Representative

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to expand our customer base and promote our telematics and fleet management solutions. As a key member of our team at Isilumko Staffing (JHB), you will be responsible for achieving sales targets, delivering excellent customer service, and building strong relationships with new customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Growth
- Cold Calling and Prospecting: Identify new business opportunities within the fleet and SMB market segments through a weekly target of 290 cold calls.
- Pitching and Presentations: Conduct a minimum of 3 customer presentations per day to showcase our solutions and their value to potential clients.
- Consultative Selling: Use a solutions-based approach to address customer needs and provide tailored solutions from our product portfolio.
- Pipeline Management: Manage opportunities in the CRM system to drive quick closures and maximize sales performance.
- Sales Performance: Meet or exceed monthly sales targets for new customer acquisitions and revenue generation, ensuring a high level of profitability.
Customer Service & Satisfaction
- Resolution and Follow-up: Resolve customer issues promptly and follow up on customer concerns to enhance customer satisfaction.
- CSI and Communication: Maintain a customer service index (CSI) above 90% through effective communication and follow-up on customer concerns.
- Churn Management: Actively monitor and manage customer churn, adopting a zero-churn culture by ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
Market Knowledge and Networking
- Industry Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to identify leads and refine sales strategies.
- Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, networking with potential clients and promoting our products and services.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a sales role, preferably within technology, SaaS, fleet management, or telematics.
- Lead Generation: Strong background in cold calling, lead generation, and acquiring new customers through face-to-face meetings.
- Sales Performance: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets, with a track record of consistently closing deals.
- Sales Techniques: Proficient in sales techniques, strategies, and methodologies, with the ability to close deals and exceed sales targets.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Negotiation: Skilled in negotiation and contract closure, with the ability to overcome objections and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to customers at all levels.
- Time Management: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities to achieve sales objectives.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing circumstances and customer needs.
- CRM Software: Proficient in using CRM systems to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and report on performance.
- Microsoft Office: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
