We are looking for a Business Development Representative to expand our customer base and promote our telematics and fleet management solutions. As a key member of our team at Isilumko Staffing (JHB), you will be responsible for achieving sales targets, delivering excellent customer service, and building strong relationships with new customers.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Growth

  1. Cold Calling and Prospecting: Identify new business opportunities within the fleet and SMB market segments through a weekly target of 290 cold calls.
  2. Pitching and Presentations: Conduct a minimum of 3 customer presentations per day to showcase our solutions and their value to potential clients.
  3. Consultative Selling: Use a solutions-based approach to address customer needs and provide tailored solutions from our product portfolio.
  4. Pipeline Management: Manage opportunities in the CRM system to drive quick closures and maximize sales performance.
  5. Sales Performance: Meet or exceed monthly sales targets for new customer acquisitions and revenue generation, ensuring a high level of profitability.

Customer Service & Satisfaction

  1. Resolution and Follow-up: Resolve customer issues promptly and follow up on customer concerns to enhance customer satisfaction.
  2. CSI and Communication: Maintain a customer service index (CSI) above 90% through effective communication and follow-up on customer concerns.
  3. Churn Management: Actively monitor and manage customer churn, adopting a zero-churn culture by ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.

Market Knowledge and Networking

  1. Industry Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to identify leads and refine sales strategies.
  2. Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, networking with potential clients and promoting our products and services.

Requirements

  1. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a sales role, preferably within technology, SaaS, fleet management, or telematics.
  2. Lead Generation: Strong background in cold calling, lead generation, and acquiring new customers through face-to-face meetings.
  3. Sales Performance: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets, with a track record of consistently closing deals.
  4. Sales Techniques: Proficient in sales techniques, strategies, and methodologies, with the ability to close deals and exceed sales targets.
  5. Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  6. Negotiation: Skilled in negotiation and contract closure, with the ability to overcome objections and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  7. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to customers at all levels.
  8. Time Management: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities to achieve sales objectives.
  9. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing circumstances and customer needs.
  10. CRM Software: Proficient in using CRM systems to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and report on performance.
  11. Microsoft Office: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
