Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer

At The Legends Agency, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor junior electrical engineers and draughtspeople
  • Design and develop electrical systems, equipment, and facilities for commercial and industrial purposes
  • Plan and implement research methodologies and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects
  • Collect and analyze data, prepare diagrams and drawings, and ensure that completed works meet specifications and safety standards
  • Estimate labour, material, and construction costs, and prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment
  • Attend meetings, supervise installation, starting up, operation, and maintenance of electrical plants, and perform limited project management for electrical engineering projects
  • Produce design calculations, sketch drawings, and details of drawings using relevant software, and check and review these prior to issue
  • Assist the project manager in preparing and reviewing project costs, risk assessments, and communicate project status to internal directors and external stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar qualification
  • Registered with ECSA or any recognized professional body as a professional engineer
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering design, management, and construction
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in performing electrical/mechanical design
  • Extensive experience in design and construction of steel water pipeline, pump stations, reservoirs, abstraction works, and water treatment plants
  • Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and various civil and water design software
  • Drivers' license is essential
