As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of reinsurance claims, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient handling of claim processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and process a portfolio of reinsurance claims, from notification through to resolution.
- Ensure claims are handled in accordance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance on complex claims to junior staff and external partners.
- Liaise with internal departments, brokers, clients, and external stakeholders to facilitate claim settlements.
- Review claims documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness before processing.
- Collaborate with underwriters and actuaries on the assessment of claims and potential financial impacts.
- Monitor claim trends and prepare reports for senior management.
- Participate in negotiations and settlements with clients or reinsurers.
- 5+ years of experience working in the technical reinsurance claims space
- Bachelor's degree in law, risk management, business administration or finance
- Extensive experience in claims management within the reinsurance industry
- Strong knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance issues related to claims
- Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Proven ability to handle complex and high-value claims
