Job Title: Professional Lifeguard Required for Beaches in KwaZulu-Natal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lifeguard to join our team in KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of beachgoers and providing first aid when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the safety of beachgoers by maintaining vigilance over the public bathing area;
  • Performing lifesaving duties, including first aid, when required;
  • Keeping records on sea conditions, number of bathers, equipment, and rescue/first aid statistics;

Requirements:

  • A valid Surf Lifesaving Certificate;
  • Recent lifeguard award retest;
  • Ability to work during weekends and public holidays without overtime;
  • Good communication and conflict management skills;
  • Selection is subject to passing Council's skills and physical fitness test.

Estimated Salary: R200,000 - R300,000 per annum (depending on experience).
