The Faculty is seeking a qualified English language lecturer to deliver part-time ESL lessons to adults.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English language lessons to adult students using a topic-orientated methodology.
  • Engage and motivate students to improve their self-confidence and English-speaking skills.
  • Manage classroom activities and provide constructive feedback to students.

Requirements:

  • A matric/high school diploma is required.
  • A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate is necessary.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Computer literacy and ability to troubleshoot.
  • Comfortable using Zoom as a teaching platform.

Working Conditions:

  • Classes are booked two weeks in advance within your preferred availability.
  • Opportunity to pick up additional classes outside of your scheduled shift when available.
  • All lesson materials are provided.
  • All students are adults.
  • Upon successful application and interview, attend a 1-day online training session and present a demo lesson to our quality and training team.

Technical Requirements:

  • Processor: Intel Core i5 CPU @2.40GHz (4 CPUs) or greater.
  • Memory: 8GB RAM or greater.

Internet Connection:

  • A stable fibre internet connection with a minimum of 25 mbps upload and download speeds.
  • PC connected via a LAN cable, not via Wi-Fi.

Additional Requirements:

  • Noise-cancelling headsets.
  • HD web camera.
  • Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment.
