What You'll Do

As a Front Office Receptionist/Host at the Hyatt Regency Cape Town, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to our guests, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Managing incoming calls and redirecting them as needed, taking messages or providing basic information to callers.
  • Processing guest transactions during their stay, including handling payments and preparing receipts.
  • Maintaining accurate records and managing administrative tasks, such as updating guest information and processing reservations.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a receptionist within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in OPERA, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure excellent customer service.
