Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring that the investment management process is executed in accordance with lawful and ethical standards.
  • Investment Management: Oversee the investment philosophy and process across the range of investment solutions offered by the division.
  • Strategy Development: Identify, develop, and direct the implementation of the division's strategy.
  • Performance Management: Plan and direct the division's activities to achieve stated/agreed targets and standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, POPIA, and other relevant pieces of legislation or regulations applicable to the company's area of expertise.
Requirements
  • Education: Relevant degree in business management or finance, preferably complemented with an investment management qualification.
  • Experience: At least 12 years relevant experience in the financial services industry.
  • Key Competencies: Technical competency, knowledge of commercial law, ability to multitask and delegate, teamwork and collaboration, management, leadership, and motivational skills.
