Job Title: Neurodiversity Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Neurodiversity Support Specialist. This role requires a unique blend of teaching, caregiving, and emotional support for four neurodivergent children.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic and emotional support to the 12-year-old boy, assisting with daily tasks and promoting independence.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the children's needs, interests, and learning styles to create personalized support plans.
  • Collaborate with the family and a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless support and care.
  • Assist with homeschooling, implementing structure and routine, and providing multisensory learning experiences.
Requirements:
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Previous experience working with neurodivergent children, preferably in a tutoring or teaching role.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and other neurodevelopmental disorders.

Duration: Permanent (minimum commitment 18 months)

Salary Range: R10,000-R15,000 per month in Cape Town, and £ [insert salary range] per month in the United Kingdom.
