Chief Financial Compliance Officer

About the RoleThe Chief Financial Compliance Officer will be responsible for:
- Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information;
- Capturing all transactions on the financial system timeously and ensuring they are supported by valid documentation;
- Summarizing and preparing reports on current financial status by collecting information, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports;
- Substantiating financial transactions by reviewing documents;
- Maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures;
- Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information;
- Maintaining financial information by completing database backups and proper filing systems;
- Assisting with auditing processes by providing documentation on request;
- Preparing payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements;
- Responding to accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations;
- Preparing special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends;
- Maintaining customer confidence and protecting operations by keeping financial information confidential;
- Providing general support and assistance to the Finance Manager, Finance Controller, and CFO on any other financial administration and related deliverables;
- Reporting to China HQ in terms of necessary reporting requirements, such as updating bank balances, funding structures on the HQ reporting system OA;
- Administering fleet cards for the company's vehicle fleet (reporting and administration);
- Preparing all required documentation for bank administration (FICA, update of users, cancellation of cards, etc.);
- Managing monthly SARS PAYE e-filing and payments; SARS VAT e-filing and payments;
- Reviewing invoices and payments captured into SAP accounting software; loading approved payments into FNB online banking profiles for authorization by Finance Managers, CFOs, and CEOs;
- Monitoring credit card limits and replenishments when required; maintaining petty cash and monthly reconciliation thereof as needed;
- Maintaining and updating fixed asset registers;
- Conducting monthly reconciliations of GL accounts as assigned by the Financial Manager; processing month-end journals, including accruals;
- Assisting with management of the budget for the Finance Department and preparation of budget Company-wide; assisting with preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, monthly performance reports, and managing working capital;
