About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Lecturer in Financial Management to join our team at the Tshwane University of Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in financial management, as well as contributing to the development of curriculum and assessment materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and assess students in financial management courses
  • Develop and review curriculum and assessment materials
  • Mentor and supervise students on research projects
  • Contribute to departmental and faculty meetings
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field
  • A minimum of three years' experience in teaching and research
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other teaching technologies
  • Full proficiency in English
Estimate Salary

The estimated salary for this role is R350,000 - R450,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

This role involves teaching and assessing students in financial management courses, developing and reviewing curriculum and assessment materials, mentoring and supervising students on research projects, and contributing to departmental and faculty meetings.

Financial Management Courses

The successful candidate will teach and assess students in the following financial management courses:

  • Financial Management IVA (FGA117V)
  • Financial Management IVB (FGB117V)
  • Financial Mathematics IV (FLM117V)
  • Financial Operations IV (FOP117V)
Curriculum Development

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment materials for financial management courses.

Mentoring and Supervision

The successful candidate will mentor and supervise students on research projects, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic goals.
