About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our research team to coordinate and manage clinical studies, ensuring that all aspects of the study are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. This includes managing study participants, performing delegated study procedures, maintaining accurate records, and interfacing with non-study clinical staff in hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screening and scheduling of participants for clinical examinations and follow-up appointments
  • Performing vital signs, electrocardiograms, and laboratory specimen collection
  • Maintaining participant records, laboratory results, and study logs
  • Managing trial-related activities at multiple sites
  • Data capture and management using electronic systems

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in General Nursing and 2-5 years of experience in clinical research. Prior experience in Paediatrics or baby clinics is essential, as well as Good Clinical Practice Certification. You should also be proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic data management systems, and have a valid driver's license. Fluency in English and a second language (Afrikaans and/or isiXhosa) is required, along with excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational, and time management skills.
