Work Africa Logistics Operations Manager Job Opportunity

In our dynamic and fast-paced logistics environment, we are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our East London warehouse. This is a hands-on position that requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. Your extensive knowledge of receiving and dispatching procedures, as well as your proficiency in Excel and email, will be invaluable assets in this position.

Beyond technical skills, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead, motivate, and discipline staff effectively. You will be responsible for ensuring the security and control of stock, making up orders according to picking slips, and stacking and packing stock efficiently.

Your ability to work under pressure, think critically, and solve problems quickly will make you an excellent fit for this role. Additionally, your basic HR knowledge and attention to detail will enable you to ensure that physical stock is accurately recorded and checked regularly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and discipline staff
  • Responsible for receiving and warehousing of stock
  • Ensure physical stock is checked against the recorded stock on a regular basis
  • Make up orders according to picking slips
  • Stack and pack stock in warehouse
  • Responsible for security and control of stock

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Warehouse Supervisor
  • Valid Code 10 Driver's License & Forklift License (preferred)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experienced in Receiving and Dispatching
  • Good Computer Skills (Excel, Email)
  • Fluent in English – Read, Speak and Write
  • Forklift operation knowledge
