Senior Accounting Professional

Sagen Advisory, a reputable and progressive Consultancy in Cape Town, seeks an experienced Accountant to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably in an accounting firm environment, and completion or partial completion of SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA articles. A long-term commitment would be viewed favourably.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform high-level accounting duties with accuracy and precision.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Compile Annual Financial Statements using Caseware, demonstrating expertise in the software.
- Conduct thorough tax compliance, identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Prepare and review management accounts, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
- Review and reconcile Debtors and Creditors on a monthly basis, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Ensure timely payment of VAT, PAYE, and other SARS requirements.
- Payroll and monthly reviews, ensuring seamless financial operations.
- Supervise and review work done by junior staff, providing constructive feedback.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and tax tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Partial or completed SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA articles.
- AGA(SA) or PA(SA) certification is advantageous.
- Proficiency in CaseWare, Xero, Pastel, and Sage.
Remuneration:
R20,000 to R30,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
