Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Kenilworth, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and finance, with a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring seamless workflow and optimal productivity.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts, providing valuable insights for business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with South African accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws, mitigating potential risks and liabilities.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop budgets and financial plans, aligning organizational goals with financial objectives.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies, maintaining a high level of quality control.
  • Partner with external auditors to manage the audit process, fostering strong relationships and ensuring a smooth audit experience.
  • Provide expert financial analysis and insights, supporting key business decisions with data-driven recommendations.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements
  • BCompt (Accounting) or Bachelors of Accounting degree from a reputable institution.
  • Registration with SAICA or SAIPA, demonstrating commitment to industry excellence.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a supervisory role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including CASeware expertise.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel, with ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all financial matters.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering collaboration and open communication.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Estimated Salary Range

R600,000 - R800,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This competitive salary reflects the importance of this role in driving financial excellence and growth within our organization.
