The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager to lead Business Consulting Finance (BC-F) client workstreams at clients and to support business development activities across our Finance practice for strategic and priority accounts.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead project workstreams assisting finance organizations, particularly Government and Public Sector Clients.
  2. Deliver high quality client solutions that meet and exceed client and EY expectations and are delivered on-time and on-budget.
  3. Drive day-to-day client solution delivery, including assisting with defining project approach, leading and motivating project teams, monitoring and managing project risks, and successfully delivering client solutions.
  4. Support the pursuit of new business opportunities, including building strong client relations, understanding client needs and EY solution offerings, communicating client opportunities to EY leadership, and helping develop client opportunities.
  5. Demonstrate deep functional capabilities and professional knowledge, and stay current with financial industry and regulatory leading practices.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Government and Public Sector.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of consulting experience.
  3. Other beneficial experience includes financial planning & analysis, management reporting, regulatory reporting, and/or related technology implementations.
  4. Experience implementing financial tools and technology (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, etc).
  5. Reporting experience with any of the following: GRAP, Statutory, IFRS, MCS – Modified Cash Standard.
  6. Business Process Redesign and assessment of key finance processes (close, FP&A, etc.).
  7. Future state redesign.
  8. Target Operating Model design.
  9. Allocation (activity based costing) experience a plus.
  10. Consulting experience, including assessments and implementations.
  11. Experience leading junior resources in finance management workstream efforts.
  12. Documenting requirements and processes (e.g., process flows).
  13. Working collaboratively in a team environment.
  14. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  15. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  16. Willingness to travel 50% or more.

Ideal Qualifications

  1. CA (SA), MBA and/or professional certification (e.g. CPA, CFA) preferred.
  2. Experience in Onestream.
