We are looking for a Regional Sales and Marketing Executive to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for promoting our products/services to travel agents and increasing revenue.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote our products/services to travel agents and increase revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, agency managers, and owners to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for growth and improve sales performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, agency managers, and owners to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
  • Promote and sell Arvo's products/services to travel agents to drive revenue and increase market share.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Use Excel (including pivot tables) to track and report on sales performance, customer activity, and trends. Manage and update customer data in the CRM system.
  • Assist agents with online booking systems and troubleshooting to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Travel to other provinces within South Africa and potentially to neighbouring countries for business development and relationship management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the travel industry or hotel industry is highly advantageous, especially if you have experience selling to travel agents or working in a sales-driven role.
  • Proven track record of building relationships, generating sales, and achieving targets.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of pivot tables for reporting.
    • Experience with online booking systems and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
    • Ability to manage sales reporting and track performance metrics.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Afrikaans. Knowledge of other African languages such as Sesotho, Setswana, Zulu, or Xhosa is a definite advantage.
  • Ability to work remotely, manage your own schedule, and be proactive in making sales visits to agents.
  • Be ready to visit the Johannesburg office approximately once a week for meetings and updates.
  • Willingness to travel domestically (within South Africa) and occasionally to neighbouring countries, including air travel.

Salary: R55 000 - R70 000 per month, negotiable and depending on experience.
