**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial processes, transactions, and reporting for our business.

This role reports directly to the Lodge General Manager and is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial management, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, and driving operational excellence in all aspects of finance.

**Key Responsibilities:*

  • Manage the cash flow, creditors, and debtors to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Develop and implement effective budgeting and forecasting strategies to drive business growth.
  • Oversee financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including inventory control and asset register.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

**Requirements:*

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting environment, preferably in the hospitality or tourism sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.
  • Proficient in using electronic accounting systems, such as Pastel, Accpac, SAGE accounting, Quick Books, SAP accounting, etc.

**Working Conditions:*

The successful candidate will be required to work at a lodge on the Lesotho border with South Africa for approximately 3 weeks per month.
