The incumbent will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice to the business and executives on a broad range of commercial, legal, and regulatory matters. Key responsibilities include providing expert legal advice, negotiating complex transactions, monitoring compliance with governance and statutory requirements, and advising the Board on corporate governance principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing accurate, effective, and timely legal advice at an expert level on complex matters of significant and strategic value.
- Negotiating complex transactions and providing legal advice regarding these transactions to senior stakeholders.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with governance and statutory requirements.
- Advising the Board on corporate governance principles and implementation of programmes and risk management frameworks.
- Providing strategic guidance and advice to the Board and its Committees on Legal, Governance and Compliance best practices.
- Handling the budget for the Company Secretary office, including that of the Board and Committees.
