Job Opportunity in Occupational Hygiene

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Hygienist to join our client's team at their mine based in the Northern Cape.

About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual with a proven track record in occupational hygiene to lead and coordinate all OH matters, ensuring legal compliance and effective emergency preparedness programs.

  • Develop and implement OH strategies and systems based on risk assessments.
  • Manage OH measurement and monitoring strategies, investigations, and reporting.
  • Report on emergency preparedness program effectiveness.
  • Submit statutory reports to regulatory authorities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Environmental Health or equivalent certification from the Chamber of Mines of South Africa.
  • Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control and certification as an Occupational Hygienist by SAIOH.
  • At least 5 years of experience in occupational hygiene in a mining environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing an OH department.
