Job DescriptionOur client, an investment company with diverse interests in Hospitality and Food & Beverage, seeks a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the organisation and its subsidiaries.
Responsibilities- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform regular bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Process payroll, including calculating wages, withholding taxes, and managing direct deposits.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries as required.
- Monitor and track company expenses, and prepare expense reports.
- Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain organised financial records.
- Assist with the preparation for audits and coordinate with auditors as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate must have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity in financial management.
