Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for driving business growth and success? Omega Human Capital is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the full spectrum of accounting operations, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

This key role involves providing strategic financial insights to the leadership team, enabling them to make informed decisions. As the primary advisor, you will be responsible for managing budgets and forecasts, monitoring financial health, and navigating complex regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, reconciliations, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Presentation of timely and insightful monthly management accounts, offering a deep dive into financial performance.
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts with precision, monitoring financial health and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Navigate the regulatory landscape with confidence, ensuring all reporting meets local government requirements and relevant standards.
  • Tackle complex accounting issues head-on, ensuring practices are in line with IFRS and other applicable standards.
  • Lead the financial close process, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of annual financial statements.
  • Fortify internal controls, safeguarding financial data and minimizing risk.
  • Manage working capital and cash flow effectively, supporting operational needs and initiatives.
  • Streamline business processes and accounting policies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Core Skills:

  • Technical expertise in ERP systems, particularly Sage or SAP.
  • A sharp analytical mindset, with the ability to dissect complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, allowing you to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate financial information clearly and concisely.
  • A detail-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy and precision in all financial endeavors.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Sage X3 or SAP.
  • Familiarity with the manufacturing industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A solid understanding of IFRS and the South African tax and regulatory environment.

The salary range for this position is between R45,000 - R52,000 per month.
