At MECS Africa, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Management Systems Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the implementation and maintenance of our management systems.

About the Role

This role will require you to have an in-depth understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards and accreditation requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring that processes and procedures needed for the ISO 9001:2015 management systems are established, implemented, and maintained.

You will also be required to report to top management on the performance of the management systems and any need for improvement. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the link and all communication with SANAS, DNV, and other relevant stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan, communicate, conduct scheduled internal audits
  • Implement actions (risk, improvements, and corrective actions) as per outcome of internal audits
  • Evaluate, approve, and re-evaluate suppliers
  • Conduct new subcontractor audits as requested from project teams and management
  • Maintain and update the context of the organization as per Top Management
  • Ensure objectives per department are set, monitored, and reported on
  • Communicate matrix reporting where required
  • Monitor equipment control registers and ensure equipment are calibrated, load-tested, inspected as required
  • Conduct new employee inductions - to the QMS system
  • Risk assessments, register risk, and mitigate risks identified
  • Maintain and update interested parties where required
  • Measure and act on customer satisfaction
  • Closely manage customer complaints by raising internal NCRs
  • Review and implement corrective actions for non-conformances
  • Organize, compile, and present management review meetings annually
  • Ensure actions from management review meetings are closed out

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management systems, specifically ISO 9001:2015. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

This is a full-time position based in Namibia, requiring occasional travel. The successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract for two years, renewable based on performance and company needs.
