Job Summary:
The Boilershop Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities and ensuring the efficient flow of tasks and responsibilities within the Boilershop department. This role requires a hardworking and self-motivated individual with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and Monitor Workflows: Ensure the smooth operation of the Boilershop department by coordinating and monitoring workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes as needed.
- Drive Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Lead and Develop Team Members: Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge and achieve their full potential.
- Manage Resources and Budgets: Ensure that resources and budgets are managed effectively, and that all expenses are accounted for and approved.
- Improve Quality and Efficiency: Continuously seek ways to improve quality and efficiency within the Boilershop department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Qualifications: Qualified Boilermaker/Welding Red Seal Trade Test certificate
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in a coordinating or similar role
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The role will require flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
