This Finance Risk and Controls Manager position presents an exceptional opportunity to join a high-performing team at Robert Walters and contribute to driving business results through effective risk management.

We are seeking an accomplished professional with a strong background in financial controls and accounting to lead our risk management initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of designing and implementing effective controls, as well as excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the effectiveness of the control framework within the Finance function.
  2. Identify and assess risks across various areas of the firm's activities, designing strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure that controls are effectively tested and validated.
  4. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the control framework, making recommendations for improvement as needed.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • A relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is essential, accompanied by experience in financial controls and accounting.
  • Familiarity with financial controls audits in a listed environment, along with knowledge of SOX requirements.
  • Proven project management skills, coupled with effective communication abilities when interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling identification of root causes and determination of optimal courses of action.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience leveraging innovative technical solutions to resolve complex problems.
