Junior Audit Accountant Position

Latitude Resource is a leading accounting and auditing firm based in Somerset West, Western Cape. We are seeking a highly motivated SAICA Trainee and/or Junior Audit Accountants to join our Audit Department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in auditing, financial reporting, and accounting functions.

Job Description:

  • Assist in auditing, financial reporting, and accounting functions.
  • Conduct reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support senior accountants in financial advisory and consulting services.
  • Keep up-to-date with IFRS, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide financial insights and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Education: BCom Accounting or equivalent degree accredited by SAICA.
  • Enrolled or planning to enroll in a SAICA training contract.
  • 1-5 years of experience in an accounting firm (preferred for mid-level applicants).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing, and taxation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, Pastel, Xero).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits:

  • R15000 – R30000 per month, dependent on skills and experience.
