The successful candidate will have the opportunity to assist in auditing, financial reporting, and accounting functions in line with SAICA standards. They will also conduct reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records, supporting senior accountants in financial advisory and consulting services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in audits, financial reporting, and accounting functions.
  2. Conduct reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
  3. Support senior accountants in financial advisory and consulting services.
  4. Stay up-to-date with IFRS, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Collaborate with clients to provide financial insights and solutions.

Requirements:

  • BCom Accounting or equivalent degree accredited by SAICA.
  • Enrolled or planning to enroll in a SAICA training contract.
  • 1-5 years of experience in an accounting firm (preferred for mid-level applicants).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing, and taxation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, Pastel, Xero).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
