About the Associate & Senior Associate Role

IDinsight's Associates and Senior Associates are high-performing early-career professionals passionate about evidence-informed decision-making. These roles provide a rich experience with responsibilities ranging from in-depth research and analysis, data collection management, client interactions, and internal team building.

Job Responsibilities

Associates and Senior Associates are responsible for managing project team workflow, systems, and deliverables. They drive the day-to-day execution of project work according to project plans, leading internal coordination efforts for their team.

Responsibilities also include conducting and supporting research design, data collection or acquisition, technical analysis, and results visualization/packaging. They create client deliverables, such as reports, slide decks, and oral presentations, to inform decisions and actions of clients.

Additionally, they develop strategic communications to build awareness of IDinsight projects and learnings, contributing to sectoral knowledge and shifting the sector towards more evidence-informed policy and practices.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with exposure to econometrics, data, and research analysis tools
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into well-structured writing-based deliverables
  • Ability to understand complex concepts quickly and willingness to invest in learning new concepts, skills, and methods
  • Highly organized, attentive to deadlines, and able to manage a high volume of work efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, fast learner, and resourceful in the face of challenges
  • Intellectually curious and willing to share opinions with the team, question the status quo, and encourage others to expand their perspectives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in statistical analysis and data collection software, such as Stata, SPSS, R, SurveyCTO, and/or Open Data Kit
  • Familiarity with local context and working proficiency in local language(s)

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experiences.
