Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Streaming Platform Engineer to join our team at Jordan HR. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based data streaming platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Operations: Run business-critical services in cloud environments, adhering to agreed-upon hours of operation within a shift model.
  • Automation and Monitoring: Utilize automation tools to monitor and observe software reliability in the supported environment.
  • Incident and Change Management: Handle incidents and changes in accordance with defined Service Level Agreements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work in a team environment to improve services throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Project Management: Manage projects and processes to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  • Agile Product Support: Proactively manage assigned User Stories in line with the organisational Agile Working Model, supporting the Product owner to shape the Product roadmap.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate Degree in Information Technology
  • Essential Skills: Familiarity with at least one programming language (Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#), basic knowledge of microservices architectures, cloud architectures, or container architectures (e.g., Docker), and understanding of public cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure and AWS).
  • Advantageous Skills: Knowledge of event streaming (Apache Kafka), experience with GitOps technologies (ArgoCD or Flux), expertise with Helm in deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes clusters, understanding of data modeling and database technologies (relational, document, graph, time series, geolocation), and basis understanding of cloud platform security requirements.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, team-oriented work behavior, and fit for business purpose mindset.
