Job Description

Thompsons Holidays, a leading company in the travel industry, is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join its Marketing team in Johannesburg. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in creating visually appealing and engaging designs for various marketing activations and campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual to unleash their creativity and entice travel enthusiasts.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the uploading of image banners, brochures, mailers, and sightseeing documents to the website via CMS. They will collaborate with the marketing team to create visually appealing and on-brand designs that effectively communicate key messages. The Graphic Designer will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines and design standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Upload image banners, brochures, mailers, and sightseeing documents to the website via CMS.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create visually appealing and on-brand designs.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and implement innovative design techniques.
  • Maintain the existing Cullinan Content Portal.
  • Create imaginative designs for mailers, adverts, flyers, social media posts, sightseeing documents, and other internal creative needs.
  • Conceptualize and interpret brochure briefs and produce high-quality brochures.
  • Ensure the necessary processes are followed to eliminate errors and losses.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Graphic Design or a 4-year Degree in Graphic Design.
  • Proven experience working as a Graphic Designer, with an advantage in the travel industry.
  • Excellent working knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of Mailchimp.
  • Strong understanding of layout design principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
