The Talent Room is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team.

We are looking for a seasoned financial professional with expertise in financial accounting and reporting, financial planning and analysis, and people management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and financial statements.
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Ensure timely completion of monthly management accounts and provide analysis on monthly operations to propose improvements.
  • Manage the year-end audit process and reviews salaries and wages.
  • Lead a team responsible for daily transaction processing and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Income Tax Act changes and complete and submit statutory returns.

Requirements:

  • CA(SA) with 1-year post-article experience or AGA (SA) with 2-3 years of working experience in a similar role.
  • Technical knowledge of SAICA or AGA, including financial reporting, tax, and legislative requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and work ethic, with the ability to deliver high-quality results.
  • Manufacturing experience is beneficial, and the candidate should be willing to think creatively and adapt to change.
  • People management experience and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of stock management and costings is required, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
