Job Details

Company Group Technology is responsible for the provision of digitally enabled technology services as a group COE, driving business and transformation and providing group-wide digital and data architecture.

We operate various technology platforms and shared services, ensuring cyber and information security resilience and acting as technology governance and risk orchestrators for technology across the company.

Our client is on a transformation journey to be an innovative company at the forefront of the financial services industry's digital transformation.

  • We aim to redefine the financial landscape with intelligent, advice-led solutions by harnessing advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
  • As engineering leaders, we need to be net producers of technology, rather than consumers, and we're seeking individuals who can empower and accelerate autonomous value creation through insights and ML.
  • The ideal candidate will have a mastery of engineering, expertise in Data & ML Platforms, and experience in building and leading high-performing, autonomous technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build a configurable data ingestion platform to collect and protect data from any on-prem or cloud-based source within two weeks or less.
  • Establish a high-performing engineering team with clear missions and success metrics, ensuring continuous performance improvement each month.
  • Define and measure team success by refining success metrics and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the platform.
  • Ensure the team has everything needed to be successful, identifying the necessary skills and capacity, and attracting, hiring, and onboarding talent.
  • Cultivate and maintain a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, fostering a culture of ownership, curiosity, and continuous learning.
Requirements
  • 7+ years' experience in leading engineering teams with at least 2 in a modern context with cloud technologies and autonomous high-performing team organisational patterns.
  • A track record of high impact and investing in personal development.
