About the Position

We are seeking an experienced academic leader to serve as the Division Chief and Program Director of the Division of Physical Therapy at New York Medical College.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in physical therapy education, research, and leadership, and will be responsible for administering the division, overseeing the DPT program, teaching, research, and service.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Administration:
    • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Division of Physical Therapy;
    • Oversee the administration of the division, including budget management, personnel supervision, and policy development;
    • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote a culture of excellence and innovation within the division.
  • Academic Programs:
    • Develop and implement high-quality academic programs that meet the needs of students and the profession;
    • Coordinate curriculum development and assessment with faculty and staff;
    • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulations.
  • Research and Scholarship:
    • Pursue and publish research in areas related to physical therapy education and practice;
    • Seek external funding to support research and scholarship initiatives;
    • Engage in scholarly activities that advance the field of physical therapy.
  • Service and Engagement:
    • Participate in local, national, and international professional organizations to promote the Division of Physical Therapy and the College;
    • Engage in community outreach and service activities that benefit the public and the profession.
