Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Systems Implementation Expert to join our team at Linkfields Innovations (Pty) Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP MES Implementation:
    • Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP MES solutions, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise systems.
    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for SAP MES projects, guaranteeing timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document requirements, fostering effective communication and cooperation.
  • System Integration:
    • Ensure that SAP MES is integrated with ERP systems, such as SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, and other enterprise applications, promoting a unified business environment.
    • Develop and maintain interfaces between SAP MES and shop floor systems, including PLCs and SCADA, streamlining production processes.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Analyze current manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices within SAP MES.
    • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize production workflows, reducing waste and enhancing efficiency.
    • Conduct process re-engineering and optimization studies, resulting in improved productivity and reduced costs.
  • Support and Maintenance:
    • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP MES applications, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, utilizing technical skills and knowledge to ensure prompt resolution.
    • Train end-users and provide technical support as needed, promoting user adoption and confidence.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage SAP MES projects from inception to completion, overseeing all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business goals, maintaining open communication and transparency.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, test plans, and user manuals, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
    • Generate regular reports on system performance, project progress, and key metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP MES implementation and support, with a strong background in manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in SAP MES configuration and customization, as well as knowledge of manufacturing execution systems and shop floor processes.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, and other shop floor control systems, along with understanding of database management and SQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with strong communication and interpersonal skills, to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Salary: R 850,000 - R 1,100,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
